What Our Partners Are Saying
When we first opened The Courtyard Space, we knew we wanted it to be more than just a venue. But we didn’t quite know how to bring that vision to life. Partnering on these community-centered events gave our space a whole new heartbeat. People walked in not just to attend — they came to connect, to share, to belong. Working together was seamless.
From our first meeting, it felt like we were building something that mattered. I didn’t just feel like a venue provider, I felt like a co-creator. The energy, the care, the creativity they bring to each event… it’s magnetic. It reminded me why I started this in the first place.
And the best part? People keep coming back. They ask, ‘When’s the next one?’ That’s how I know this partnership is real it stays with people.

Hosting one of these events at Indigo Lounge was honestly one of the best nights we’ve had. I’ve seen a lot over the years birthday parties, live DJs, football nights, but this was different. You had people walking in solo, unsure, a little quiet at first… and by the end of the night, they were dancing, laughing, deep in conversation like they’d known each other forever.
What stood out to me was the vibe, super intentional, but never forced. There was this natural flow to everything. The team brought in little touches that made the space feel open and safe, and suddenly you had strangers talking about life over cocktails and shared plates.
I remember looking around and thinking, ‘Wait, these people just met tonight?’ It was that real. As a bar owner, moments like that remind you it’s not just about selling drinks — it’s about creating space for connection. And this partnership? It brings that every time.”*

What People Are Saying
Honestly I was so pleasantly surprised by how easy and chill the vibe was, the games really facilitated conversation and the time flew by. We really were yapping! I would have like it to be longer but understand most of us had work the next day. Overall, huge thanks Zainab and Chanté for organising this event, it’s a great idea and you were both so lovely and welcoming. I’ll deffo be keeping an eye out for future events.

Today we did candle making with CR1B, I made the best smelling candle in London! You should come to Strangers in the City if you want to have a good time and make long lasting connections.
